Enrolments

Starting in 2026, Milawa Primary School is moving to the Department of Education’s secure digital enrolment system, VicStudents. This new process allows parents and carers to submit Foundation (Prep) applications online and receive real-time updates through the portal.

How to Enrol for Foundation 2027

To begin your child’s enrolment, please follow these steps:
  • Access the Portal: Visit the VicStudents Enrolment Portal.
  • Sign In: All users must sign in using a Service Victoria account. If you do not have one, you will be guided to create one.
  • Submit Application
  • Prepare Documentation: Have digital copies of your proof of address, proof of name, and date of birth ready to upload.
Security and Support
The VicStudents system meets high-level Victorian Protective Data Security Standards to ensure your information remains secure. Once you accept an offer, you will be required to provide additional personal and health information which is then shared securely with the school.

Prep Transition and Enrolment
Milawa Primary School is always taking enrolments from Foundation to grade six. Your child is welcome to start with us at any time during the year and there will always be a place for your child with us.

Transition Days
We like our new Foundation students to feel as if they already belong when they start school for the first time. For this reason, we provide several transition days throughout the third and fourth term in the lead up to starting school the following year.

These visits include school tours, meeting an older buddy, eating and playing outside and participating in classes with Foundation and grade one students. There are also information sessions for parents, morning teas and invitations to participate in school events.

Enrolment forms are available in hard copy or digital form on request from the office.
